Kartikeya is one of the most hardworking and talented people I've come across in IBM. I've had the good fortune of working with him on two research disclosures, both of which were successfully patented, and one graph analytics asset building project. What truly distinguishes Kartikeya from others is his motivation and drive to solve the problem at hand. He is not one to work with incomplete, superficial knowledge of topics. He likes to dive into the subject and have a thorough understanding of the concepts involved. He has been an essential and valuable contributor in all of our projects and he is a great team player.

It's rare that you come across a talent like Kartikeya. I had the pleasure of working with him for past few years on various projects. He is a person who is extremely creative and innovative with teamwork spirit. I remember, there was a tough situation a few days before the release of a project and his willingness to solve the problem, find solution to bugs and providing valuable inputs in the crucial time helped us release the project on time. Kartikeya is a dedicated data scientist and he would be an asset to institutions that will hire his services.

I have worked primarily on the following solutions: Recommendation Systems - Leveraging ML/AI techniques in various engagements. Built a customer similarity module from through LSH coded from scratch using pyspark that could handle a customer base of 2.3M. Built offline evaluation modules to test the efficacy of the recommendation system before go-live. Created a "next best attribute" predictor which automated the attributes to ask questions to the user interacting with the recommendation system so as to be able to filter down to the most relevant products in the inventory by asking minimum number of questions. Contributed to the novel multi model deep learning based recommendation system architecture. Deep Learning on edge - Implemented and deployed various deep learning on edge use cases like "Distracted driver prediction", "Ball bearing defect detection", "Social Distancing and mask detection","Virtual makeup" etc on low powered devices like Raspberry PI, Jetson-TX2 e.t.c. Have also worked on engagements in graph theory and NLP space. Show less
