I am so lucky and grateful that my first role out of school was working for Microsoft in building a platform to help on-site construction workers track resources and progress toward the completion of a new data center. In addition to my role as an engineer, I also worked as a UX designer and crafted the design of the issue module for the platform, which allowed users to effectively manage issues on-site. Working on a team that included project managers, software developers, designers, and site managers that simultaneously nourished and challenged my ideas brought me a great deal of energy and taught me how to work under specific technical restraints.
