  Main Tasks: SW innovation leadership, market assessment and worldwide sales network management. I was the Founder and Executive Director for the company Metaphor/WeatherOne (weatherone.tv) for 21 years from 1993 through 2014 (full time from 1995), until the company was sold to ChyronHego Corporation (www.chyronhego.com). While my academic background is from computer science, mathematics and physics, my thesis addressed real time visualization of large datasets from computational simulations of black oil reservoirs and meteorology/climate analysis on CRAY supercomputers, my professional life has been managing and visualizing large geospatial datasets in realtime broadcasting environments. As the senior officer of Metaphor/WeatherOne, I was tasked with providing operations essential solutions to the most demanding media companies in the world, like CNN, Bloomberg, ABC, AlJazeera, NHK (Japan), TV4 (Sweden) and NRK (Norway).

  Within SINTEF's Applied Mathematics department I was fortunate to work with excellent researchers and visionaries on how to visualize complex data from simulations on the CRAY supercomputers. The Team at SINTEF has since gone on to establish successful commercial spin-offs from this activity, like the company windsim.com (formerly vector.no) and ceetron.com (formerly viewtech.no) in addition to weatherone.tv which I founded in 1995 together with SINTEF.
