      As a volunteer in the Silicon Valley chapter of Amigos de las Americas (formerly known as the Santa Clara Valley Chapter) I participated in fundraising, training, and leadership programs to volunteer in Ecuador for the summer.Projects Community Camps- throughout our stay my team mates and I were entrusted to conduct camps and workshops for the community youth with themes differing from hygiene to community awareness.Youth Entrepreneurship- the unique focus of the Ecuadorian project from Amigos was the goal to facilitate a micro-enterprise with the host community. I collaborated with teammates and community members to design a business proposal that would end up winning the extra seed grant from the project partners.This experience set me on the path of seeking for international organizations with collaborative empowerment.
