  Promotion into this role was created by a split of the Manufacturing Engineering Manager’s responsibility into two separate positions. My primary focus is the launch of new products to the market while maintaining gross margins and reducing lead time. Responsibilities and key contributions include: •Coordination of day-to-day activities of Design Drafting, New Product Engineers, Documentation Control, and Packaging •Development of budgets for NPD and monitor to ensure that target spending is met •Design and implementation of APQP process •Launch of a “vault audit” and “ten commandment process” to improve launch quality •Resulting successful launches of four new gun lines (Icon Rifle, Endeavor, Impact, Hot Shot) for which launch time has been reduced by as many as four months Show less
