      Originally developing scroll expanders for uninterruptible power supply (UPS) system’s, I was subsequently tasked to lead a design team developing a Micro, Combined Heat and Power Appliance. The µCHP featured of wide range of complex componentry: sheet metal, fittings, pipework, machined parts, plastic mouldings, castings, wiring/harnesses, sub-assemblies included a primary heat exchanger, and a power generating module containing rotating equipment such as a scroll expander generator and a working fluid pump. All design work undertaken at Flow was completed using Autodesk Inventor - data managed via Autodesk Vault Professional.
