  I am on the Revenue Recognition Team under the Finance sector of the business. While my title is Senior Financial Analyst, my work involves aspects of Accounting as well. A great deal of the work I do is ensuring our advertising revenue is properly recognized. I assist in our monthly closing of the books and also head a few of our control processes. These are processes put into place to ensure we are abiding by ASC 606 standards and include in depth research, account analysis, and critical thinking. Our company was a part of the largest merger of two media companies in history when Gannett and GateHouse combined in late 2019. Since then, our team has been tasked with many projects of high importance to synchronize our processes and systems and put effective controls into place. Show less
