The focus of this role is to the customer and ensuring Shcenck Process are able to understand and identify what the customer needs are and offer solutions that provide a benefit to the customer that he can attribute a value to. These needs are then developed and managed through a stage gate process to ensure the Client’s needs are met throughout the development of new products. As a result I have developed key relationships with BHPBIO, RTIO and FMG, major Iron Ore Clients and maintained key relationships with the Schenck Process global locations.Achievements in this role• Through intensive customer research, I managed the development of a new tooling system to improve the safety and reduce lead time of chute change outs. This has reduced the Client’s costs by up to 50,000 AUD per shut and has reduced the shut time by up to 20%. This system has been put forward for a number of safety and innovation awards by the Client.• Provided technical support for all areas of the business, domestic and globally for the Train Loading product• I successfully implemented lean design philosophies to the TLO product, which has led to the standardisation of the product range from over 20 variants to 4 variants.• In coordination with the major locations, I developed a new TLO product range for a global market. To complete this I undertook a market and competition analysis to identify a new potential market arena for Schenck Process.• I provide global support for the product in all the major mining regions including Australia, China, India, South America and Europe.

Head Of Engineering
-
Aug 2009 - Oct 2010
I was a member of the executive leadership team and was responsible for the direction of the engineering teams in all aspects of engineering including project delivery, Innovation and Safety. I took on this role with an engineering department that was performing poorly with large amounts of rework, late deliveries and consistently ran over budget. I introduced concepts such as lean design, better commercial awareness, process controls and inter-company relationships to produce a high performing department that operated within budget and achieved an 80% on time delivery.
