  Responsible for a one person marketing department at a 501 (c) 3 non-profit. Managed a department with very little funding to operate as efficiently as possible. Responsibilities included: all social media content curation and account maintenance - including Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Pinterest, Flickr, LInkedIn and YouTube. Additionally managed: e-mail marketing, SEO, Google AdWords, Google Analytics, and all website functionality - including all donations, event registrations, and form submissions for all departments, content creation for blogging purposes, as well as completing the graphic design and photos where needed for layouts. While digital methods were a main focus, I also managed and designed print pieces for flyers, direct mail, event invitations, advertisements in print media, and business cards for all staff members. The former website was dated and not mobile friendly. I was able to switch to a new platform to ensure visitors with smart phones could easily navigate the pages. I reduced work for our other team members through digital means, such as having data automatically sync with our donor management software. I also worked to make things easier and more accessible for program users, such as our low cost spay and neuter services, by making forms online rather than requiring paper copies to be printed and scanned.   In 2010, I created a plan for a pool expansion for a residence in Texas. Construction drawings were done in AutoCAD and perspectives were created in Google Sketchup then rendered with hand drawn sketches and Photoshop. In 2011, I built a scaled model of a water treatment plant for the city of Huntsville, TX. The city was proposing an expansion to their water treatment plant facilities to their city council and constituents and wanted an example for the meeting. In 2013, I designed a renovation for a private residence in Martha's Vineyard, MA. I planned both the front and back yard, including the plant lists after speaking with the local nursery staff. I worked with local carpenters as well as completed much of the installation. In 2015, I designed and built a xeriscape front yard for a residence to comply with California water restrictions. This included a master plan, along with water wise plants from a local nursery, and drip irrigation plan for fully efficient water use. Show less

I conducted all aspects of small business ownership: bookkeeping, accounting, scheduling, managing, marketing, advertising, secretarial duties, networking, branding, web design, and more.
