I have known Karine since 2016 through her work in different capacities, spanning from workshop leader, team coach, keynote speaker and have always been impressed by her ability to be an impactful catalyst for both community and personal transformation. Our professional and personal paths blended overtime, and I am grateful to count her as an inspiring member on my Personal Board of Directors. Her keen intellect and strong sense of curiosity coupled with her presence and creative mind makes her highly effective with people from boardroom, to classroom, to playground. She engages genuinely and adapts graciously to multi-generational audiences. I am wholeheartedly recommending Karine Parker-Lemoyne for engagements involving personal and team development.

-
Houston, Texas Area
-
Executive & Program Director (non-profit)
-
Dec 2011 - Present
• Has expanded the reach and impact of the Texan-French Alliance for the Arts (TFAA) non-profit organization and established its sustainability by - creating 100+ strategic partnerships with school districts, universities, community, and governmental organizations - developing and fostering alliance educational programs such as Be the Peace - Be the Hope, and the Be-Hope App that respond to the needs of diverse and underserved school communities. This established TFAA as an essential partner in the fabric of the community. - and developing and implementing qualitative and quantitative assessments to measure the impact of the programs and learning outcomes. • The Be the Peace - Be the Hope (BTPBTH) collaborative platform I founded in 2015 uses proprietary curricula based on neuroscience, art, mindfulness, collaborative practices, and socio-emotional education. It helps develop essential life skills (including self- and social awareness, self-management, relationships, and responsible decision-making) and the youth’s and their teachers' ability to optimize their capabilities in challenging environments, from impoverished neighborhoods in Houston to refugee camps in West Africa, Iraq, and India. This educational work leads the youth to reimagine and improve their life, leadership skills, and social contributions while solidifying the fabric of their school communities. BTPBTH, partnering with local school districts and international organizations, has impacted 46 schools, 8,000+ students, and 500+ teachers. The program recorded a 60% decrease in depression/anxiety and up to 50% increase in self-efficacy, 75% in respect, 80% in resilience, and 100% in creative thinking. 90% of our students recorded being more hopeful and felt more supported. Student suspension decreased by 70%. Through BTPBTH, our collaborative has created more resilient, peaceful, hopeful, supportive, and successful school communities and supported their leadership teams. Show less

Co-Founder

May 2020 - Present
Bringing together brain science research, best practices for social and emotional skills, and powerful self-actualization tools to guide participants in a journey where they can gain clarity, shift their mindset and behaviors, establish consistent habits and practices anchored in their why, develop a systematic roadmap, and become empowered to be the best version of themselves to transform their lives and relationships. 2020 has reaffirmed the uncertain nature of our lives, disrupting every human life in some way or another. This new normal is rising in volatility, uncertainty, complexity, ambiguity, and speed. For decades, we have been holding on to old ways of work that were not working. Most of the time, our reaction to keep up was to do more. Our response cannot be to do more and more of the same. It is not about doing more, it is about doing differently, and our responsibility is to truly take care of ourselves and those around us. Through live masterminds and transformational workshops, the RISE Series seeks to foster Resilience, Inspiration, Support, and Empowerment for individuals and organizations so they may assume more Responsibility and become more Innovative in their thinking in order to best Serve from and with Empathy. Participants shared: “I feel absolutely more RISEful because I have tangible next steps and tools to incorporate. This training was empowering as a multifaceted human being” – April Watkins “In 15 years of teaching, and double that many types of training or workshops, meant to give educators the tools and a new perspective on how to best work together and reach our students in the manner in which they need; RISE has truly given us a method that is beautifully applicable to the everyday classroom!” – Heidi Aaron Rouse, Sugar Grove Academy Middle School RISE is fantastic. By digging deeper, I discovered more about myself and how to overcome my limiting beliefs. Now, I am going to do what it takes to achieve my goals!" K. Spates Show less

Curator
-
Jul 2007 - Dec 2018
As the original mind and entrepreneur behind Rougeart and as a curator, I produced international and outreach art projects aiming at developing bridges of understanding between communities. By adding music, writing, performance, and other media to my projects, I have created a sensory 360-degree environment for appreciating art and intercultural dialogue. My dedication to a greater purpose of the community transcends traditional formats and breathes new life into artistic outreach and creative expressions. I curated independently “Go West 1,” a project that was presented at the headquarters of UNESCO in Paris in the framework of “2010: International Year for the Rapprochement of Cultures,” for which UNESCO was the leading agency. Another major project I led as a program director, curator & community developer was the 2012-2018 citywide “OPEN THE DOOR” (OTD) public art project, inviting the public to imagine life as a myriad of gateways, leading to meaningful encounters and possibilities. I created public & private partnerships with more than 50 organizations, allowing French and Texan artists, students, professors, and volunteers to create 60 cultural artistic pivoting metal doors showcased in 19 locations throughout the city, including in underserved areas. OTD became an opportunity for diverse communities and artists to unite, inspire, and dare to use their creativity in new formats and locales. By offering a form of expression that embodies communities’ spirit, OPEN THE DOOR took people’s consciousness outside their houses, offices, and cars to see the world beyond walls and welcome our neighbor through open doors. It also showed student artists - as young as 11 — that their art and creativity could positively affect the world. Past exhibits include « Metamorphosis, Métamorphose, Metamorfosis, an exhibit to invite in the creative impulse,” a French Cultures Festival event traveling in the corporate world. Over 3,000 attendees. Show less
