Bio
Gary Clairmont
Karina is much more than the typical digital designer that is proficient with Adobe Creative Cloud tools. On top of having a wonderful design sense, she can design the entire user experience for an application. Karina understands the technical underpinnings of the user experience, and therefore handles most user interface implementation issues herself. And even beyond that, she is experienced enough to understand backend business processes and to be a key advisor on how they can best be experienced by the user to elicit maximum response. I highly recommend Karina for any position she wants to tackle.
Ryan Kuczka
I had the immense pleasure of working with Karina at Rejoiner. She was an incredible product manager, owner, and designer and was incredibly helpful and effective at accomplishing tasks. She is adept at soliciting and listening to feedback from engineers and other stakeholders to determine not only what functionality a feature needed, but how it would work behind the scenes, then taking that full picture and developing a cohesive user interface and design. Her mocks were incredibly detailed and easy to work from in order to build out products but she maintain flexibility in her designs and process to adapt and improve as features came together. While Karina's focus at Rejoiner was on the product ownership and design, she had a solid grasp of the engineering that went into building the product as well. It was not uncommon for me to build out a functional, but bare-bones MVP of a feature and hand it off to Karina, only to come back the next day to a fully stylized and beautiful product. Overall, I am grateful to have had the opportunity to have worked with Karina and greatly enjoyed the time we worked together.
