I work with all things related to improving the experience and community of the wonderful gig workers on the Poplin platform! I also act as the advocate for gig-workers in strategic discussions. Since this is a startup, my role has shifted and evolved extensively since starting but improving the Laundry Pro experience wherever possible (while weighing the needs of the business as a whole) is the constant.

I was involved in almost every part of pre-production and principal photography. With the director, I (successfully) pitched the film for funding to investors. I created proposed budgets and schedules. I applied for the Utah Film Commission Tax Incentive, to which we were accepted. I worked with director and executive producers to develop story. I created and managed contracts, releases, and a myriad of legal documents. I handled all the finances including, bookkeeping, payroll and taxes. I booked housing and transportation for traveling crew. I assisted on set as needed. On bigger shoots this involved long hours and quick problem solving under intense circumstances. I negotiated thousands of dollars off a media release agreement in a time crunch. I prepared all materials needed to transition project to a new post-production producer. Show less
