Further, I’m interested in socio-economic implications of aquatic pollution and relations between environmental awareness, climate change, land use and ecosystem services in sustainable management of natural resources.   Lappeenranta Lakeworld ltd was the first Finnish company combining environmental science, education and natural history in tackling the problems threatening the state of planet Earth. It was also the only company focusing on the success stories of Lake Saimaa to evoke people’s awareness and courage to change the world. From 2019 to 2021 the company was running SAIMAARIUM Nature and Science Centre in Lappeenranta, by the Lake Saimaa, producing national and international exhibitions, events and science and… Show more Lakeworld ltd was the first Finnish company combining environmental science, education and natural history in tackling the problems threatening the state of planet Earth. It was also the only company focusing on the success stories of Lake Saimaa to evoke people’s awareness and courage to change the world. From 2019 to 2021 the company was running SAIMAARIUM Nature and Science Centre in Lappeenranta, by the Lake Saimaa, producing national and international exhibitions, events and science and environmental education projects. Co-operation with the City of Lappeenranta ended in 2021 and the company was declared bankrupt in June 2022.
