Human Resources Manager

Mar 2000 - May 2005
Total Quality Systems, Inc. (TQS) was founded in 1994 on the principles of innovative process and product improvement. It is a high-technology company recognized nationally by the 2011 Small Business Administration (SBA) Tibbetts award for our innovative products and services. The annual Tibbetts Award is presented each year to a small business judged to exemplify the best in the Small Business Innovative Research (SBIR) program. TQS’ innovations were derived from complex and demanding supply chains that support the U.S. Air Force. TQS has experience with the entire supply chain from procurement, sustainment analysis and planning, to maintenance, repair and overhaul. It bases many of the current practices on predictive analysis. With databases comprising of years worth of work orders and repair orders, predictive engineering can inform maintenance people when a weapon's system will break, so that preemptive exchanges can be done. This allows the US Air Force to keep their weapons systems functioning. TQS innovations have played a significant role in helping the USAF F-16 Program Office save over $300 million to date and cost avoidance of $1 billion are projected by 2030. While at TQS, I identified key talent, recruited, screened, hired and on-boarded new employees. Coached, trained and developed staff. Led employee relations, managed compensation and benefits and resolved disputes. Created and implemented new policies, oversaw process improvement activities, and ensured adherence to state and federal HR laws for 225 employees in two states.
