Although, I directly reported to her she always gave me opportunity, autonomy and recognition for the work I did. Yet, at the same time she would always be there for me to help me through a difficult task or problem. She supported me, believed in my work and encouraged me to take on new challenges, which has allowed me to grow and take on more responsibility. Because she cared so much about me as a person, and was interested in my professional development I always felt engaged under her tutelage.
