This involves creation of resources from a concept or adaptation of existing resources e.g., articles, blogs, brochures, booklets, datasheets, guides, newsletters, price books, webinars and so forth. Outside of my own creative output the role involves editing and proofing of the work of my colleagues and adaptation of articles for publication in professional journals. For the past 8 years I have been working in private practice alongside various stints in corporate and retail settings as a naturopath and collaborating with other practitioners in their private practices. Prior to my current 'technical naturopath' role, I worked part time at Integria Healthcare in the tech team and continue to be available for consults and other modalities. Between 2017 and 2019 I was lead naturopath at Amchara Health Retreats between Gozo, Malta and Somerset, UK before the pandemic put paid to that. I loved holding the space and making a difference. Amchara combines functional medicine in a supportive detox environment. Supporting clients through their 'functional health" journey via entry and exit health assessments, bespoke nutritional regimes, emotional support and provision of functional tests and health mentoring. Clients attend Amchara retreats in Somerset and Gozo for many reasons and presenting with various health conditions including gut health issues, chronic fatigue, for weight management, pain reduction, skin conditions and the modern malady of stress . It is inspiring and a privilege to hold the space that allows progress on this journey and most experience considerable improvements in mind, body and spirit - detoxing on many levels. No two days are the same at this residential retreat with entry screenings, educational talks, functional testing (including Thyroflex), health mentoring and exit screenings there is never a dull moment!
