I had the pleasure of working alongside Karen for five years at Jacob Bailey. It’s difficult to add much more than what has already been said in her other recommendations. From personal experience she demonstrated time and again how adept she was in her role. Clients quickly bought into her strategic thinking and professional manner whilst colleagues appreciated her diligence, common sense and exceptionally high standards. A highly skilled individual who gets great results and brings out the best in those around her.

From the moment I met Karen I knew that I had found an individual who was going to have a very positive impact on our agency and help to raise our game across the board. Passion is an overused word in our industry but there's no other way to describe the sheer tenacity with which Karen takes hold of projects and the level of responsibility and ownership that she brings to the table. But above and beyond that drive to deliver there's an intelligence to Karen's approach that leaves no stone untuned and no question unanswered. An adept communicator, her team love to work with her and thrive on her ability to delegate with clarity, share experience, lead by example and to provide considered and effective mentorship based on real understanding. Highly respected by both clients and colleagues alike she brings an open, friendly and authentic approach to every engagement coupled with a natural authority that comes from experience and expertise. Karen's profound understanding of brand has been a major asset to Jacob Bailey and clients such as the East of England Co-op, across all of their divisions, Abellio Greater Anglia, St Helena Hospice, Red Tractor and Notcutts to name just a few.

I oversee the delivery of projects across all our services including full rebrands and marketing campaigns. I partner with clients, enabling real client/agency collaboration to establish strategic objectives, the creative approach and the tactics for delivery.I specialise in brand strategy and lead the repositioning and rebranding project within our agency. I have also recently worked with the East of England Co-op and Greater Anglia Trains across a partnership project, planning and overseeing the marketing communications for both internal and external launch.Clients include; East of England Co-op (Corporate / Food retail / Funeral / Security), Red Tractor Food Assurance, Essex County Council, St Helena Hospice, Notcutts Garden Centres, Royal Hospital School, Flow Energy, Mediterranean Shipping Company (MSC), Abellio Greater Anglia, Countryside Property Developers.About The Jacob Bailey GroupWe're an international and award-winning Creative Business Services Agency with offices in London, Suffolk, and New York. We’re often asked what we do - The answer is simple. We improve our clients’ P&L and positioning. How?By Connecting Relevance through DATA, TECHNOLOGY and CREATIVITY with a strategy first approach. And why?Because we’re about creating Brilliant Experiences…with a little bit of magic. We know that results on our clients' P&L are what really count and that brand positioning at an organisational or product and service level, impacts revenue. The moment you stop measuring is the moment your business stops improving. Businesses have to become more intelligent over time, otherwise how are you going to know what’s driving business success? However we need insight. By asking the right questions we gather data that makes a real impact and has a real business value, rather than simply valuing the information you have. It’s not about big data, it’s about big answers.

This position was at TNS' Global (head office), located in London. TNS is one of the world's largest market research company with a presence in over 80 countries. My remit fell into two areas: 1. Running the Global Creative Services department 2. Driving the rebrand compliance and raising internal creativity across the 80 markets, through guidelines, tools, fostering creative collaboration, evangelism and best practice sharingSince TNS rebranded in 2011 and further realised the commercial benefits to develop a more creative offering, I was brought on board to work with Martin Lambie-Nairn (consultant creative director) to help the global office achieve 'best in class' creative communication across pitches, automated delivery platforms, sales and marketing collateral and corporate material. My role was entirely collaborative with the marketing team, directing conceptual ideas and execution with the in-house design team or with external suppliers. My role with the markets concentrated around delivering cost effective, pragmatic solutions to enable brand compliance and raise creative standards. The first initiative being a 'brand basics' programme with bite sized information targeted at staff and extended brand guidelines targeted more for creative agencies or personnel. About TNS TNS is one of the world's largest market research company with a presence in over 80 countries. TNS has more conversations with the world’s consumers than anyone else and understands individual human behaviours and attitudes across every cultural, economic and political region of the world. TNS is part of Kantar, one of the world's largest insight, information and consultancy groups.

Whilst at Turquoise I directed a full strategic and visual branding project for Relish Broadband, London's superfast mobile broadband service. It launched in June 2014.I also worked across the King Abdullah's Economic City account, based in Saudi, working with Sharon (MD) to deliver brand strategy and creative branding solutions for this complex new city across the Port, residential areas, municipal services. My final project was the rebrand a large FMCG company in Turkey who needed to move their locally focussed company into the multinational space, competing with the likes of Unilever, delivering brand assets and practical guidance for them to implement internally.About Turquoise:Turquoise Branding is an agency specialising in creating, refreshing and implementing brands across telecoms, broadcast and corporate sectors. They're based in London with clients across the world from Brazil to Sweden, UAE to London.

My role at CDT was to help build a client services department in this design and branding agency that had previously relied on their designers to manage their clients. With a small team of 5 account handlers we turned a chaotic studio into a smooth running environment, built strong relationships with our clients and from this managed to bring longevity and higher revenue to projects. This allowed to designers to be freed up to concentrate on what they did best.I left in 2007 to have my second child and took 4 years out of the industry, to return in 2011.

Over nearly 9 years and working up to the position of Client Services Director, I learnt most of what I know about branding from Lambie-Nairn. I worked right across the world from the US to Poland, Spain to Romania specialising in managing branding projects across the broadcast, telecoms and B2B sectors. This included the rebrand of the BBC and the creation of the O2 brand.Other brands I worked on were ITN, Discovery US & UK, Sci-Fi Channel, BAE Systems, Sainsburys, The Art Council, FIFA, Expedia, European Business Channel. My time at LN taught me the art of simplicity when it comes to brand strategy and the appreciation of the craft of design when it comes to execution. I also learnt that the best client relationships are those that are partnerships, as together with high standards and high expectations, you can create the best work - and have a lot of fun along the way.
