From September 2015 I became a fully-fledged member of the Careers team and became an Industrial Consultant. This role consists of sourcing work experience placements for approximately 100 year 12 students wishing to study anything from Architecture to Zoology and everything in-between. I interview students and place them in companies where they will gain maximum benefit in order to achieve the right experiences to enable them to continue on to university, apprenticeships or the world of work. I co-ordinate the Sixth form Mentoring Programme which gives teenagers responsibility for mentoring the younger members of the Academy. This year I was given the responsibility of organising the Year 11 Achievement Evening in November, which in itself was quite an achievement. I act as Box Office when organising and selling tickets for the Academy productions and Christmas concerts. I thoroughly enjoy my role within the Academy and relish the challenges Academy life and approximately 360 Sixth Form students, brings every day.
