  I am a Scientific Review Officer (SRO) for GDIT, a company that conducts first-tier scientific peer review services for the Congressionally Directed Medical Research Program (CDMRP) through the Department of Defense. My job as an SRO is to coordinate and manage panels of discipline specific experts and consumer reviewers who evaluate applications for scientific merit and impact. I am also responsible for providing feedback on reviewer critiques, facilitating peer review panels, and providing summary statements to the Programmatic Panels which determine funding. I am excited to be involved with this review process that directly impacts military personnel, veterans, and their families!
