I returned to the workforce after taking a year out on maternity leave. When first employed by KPMG my role was as an account accounting clerk. I would create annual financial reports and income tax returns for a number of clients in the horticultural and agricultural industries as well as retail and other small businesses. When staff were on leave I would cover their roles so did a number of tasks including, PA for the firm partners or associates, reception, wages clerk. I became experienced in the insolvency team assisting the associate running that department. This involved attending liquidation or receivership meetings as needed.
