2003 - 2005
I was one of the lead researchers and software developers in the m3 project, which involved the design and prototyping of a software infrastructure for context-aware mobile applications - i.e., software able to automatically adapt its behavior based on a combination of user preferences and interpreted data from distributed sensors. My role included: software engineering with Java, Python and the Elvin distributed event routing software; collaboration with Telstra Research Labs and SAP, both key stakeholders in the project; and authoring and presenting research papers at leading international conferences.
