  My ten years of teaching have been with the Archdiocese of Detroit. In the 2016-2017 school year, I was nominated by my teaching peers for the NCEA Lead, Learn, Proclaim Award and was honored as Teacher of the Year in my school. I have completed my Catechist certification to teach Religion; and am also endorsed to teach mathematics and science. Students were grouped by ability which allowed me to better meet their diverse and unique academic needs. By my own example I strive to teach my students valuable lessons in character, leadership and service. In my classroom, not only do I hold high scholastic expectations, but my students are also taught the importance of self-respect and community service.
