  I have oversight of La Casa's Center for Financial Stability, which provides services to low income individuals and families to help them achieve and sustain financial stability through coaching, financial literacy, and asset building. Free program services include: workforce development/employment counseling, free tax preparation, financial and credit coaching/counseling, financial literacy education, Individual Development Account (IDA) savings incentive programs, and other asset building… Show more I have oversight of La Casa's Center for Financial Stability, which provides services to low income individuals and families to help them achieve and sustain financial stability through coaching, financial literacy, and asset building. Free program services include: workforce development/employment counseling, free tax preparation, financial and credit coaching/counseling, financial literacy education, Individual Development Account (IDA) savings incentive programs, and other asset building services, Under my leadership the Center has successfully implemented and operates an innovative Employer-based Financial Wellness program with medium to large employers in Greater Milwaukee. Additionally, I've developed strategic collaborations with organizations including: Housing Resources Inc., Wisconsin Women's Business Initiative, and Ways to Work to address service gaps while preventing duplication of services. As a result of the Center's excellent performance over the last 8 years, I was able to obtain a ten-year funding commitment from the United Way and three-year commitment from the Greater Milwaukee Foundation. Additionally, I have written grants obtaining Federal and IRS funding and funding from other foundations.
