As a TA at Badsworth School I work under the supervision of the Year 5 teacher and also support the Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to provide general support in teaching, managing and disciplining pupils in the classroom. I also provide individual or small group support with pupil’s with more specific learning needs, including those with SEN, IEPs or statements. Within keystage 2 I have mainly helped to cover topics in numeracy, literacy, ICT, PSHE, DT and reading. I also have some general experience with keystage 1 pupils at Ackworth School and in the Autism Unit there too. I also help other staff and TA’s, either with classroom cover, lesson prep, administration or in helping with displays etc. as required.
