    • Bartender Manager
      • Dec 2008 - Dec 2018

For 10 years I worked under the owner, Robert Overton, until his unfortunate passing. I worked my way up from a Bartender to Bar Manager, I then went on to take on the tenancy for the pubs last year standing before the pub was closed for redevelopment of the area. My time spent here was made even greater due to having the privilege of working alongside Natalie Lascelles in organising the bar aspect of a long standing charity event called the Rosiefest, this event raised over £20,000 during its time at this venue, My role in this was organising the bar, staffing, beer orders and on the day running of the bar, this also included the collaboration with authorities to apply for the correct event paperwork and working alongside other organisations to make sure the day ran smoothly and without incident. In my time here I also spent time working for other public houses, all of which gave me unique learning experiences, but none more than here, this is where I learned to tap a beer, clean lines, engage with customers, handle large sums of money, open and lock up and in my later years I was taught the paperwork side of the business. During my time here I touched on every aspect of the bar industry and here was where I was taught how to do it right. Show less
