Karen was a key mentor early in my career. I'll never forget her ability to marry marketing and finances/metrics together, to listen while also steering the team. I have had the pleasure of working with Karen on several different occassions. Initially, at TELUS she reported directly to me playing an instrumental role in the development of the Integrated Channel Strategy for the Consumer Solutions division working under tight deadlines on a core strategy that would ultimately have a significant impact on division cost effectiveness and customer satisfaction. Later, she was a key go-to direct report of mine in the Customer Marketing team, leading key strategy projects. In more recent years, following both of our depatures from TELUS, I hired Karen to work one-on-one coaching a senior project manager where she delivered outstanding results once again.
