I first worked with Karen when she was a contributor to my book, "Blackwell Complementary and Alternative Medicine: Fast Facts for Medical Practice." She is a phenomenal writer, and in the midst of heavy editing in other areas of the book, her chapter was one of the only ones that was so good on its own that it didn't need any changes. Since then, I have had the chance to be associated with Karen through our mutual work for the American Holistic Medical Association, and she has been a great pleasure to know.
