We have only worked for a short period however Karen, who was my line manager at the time in the absence of an 8A, was one of the reasons I survived my new Band 7 role. Indeed a great start of my managerial role because of her presence and guidance. Such an inspiration, will forever be grateful.

I knew Karen during the majority of her career at The Christie NHS Foundation Trust where I was Deputy Director of Nursing and Quality. She is highly skilled and knowledgeable in both strategic and clinical learning environments. Coming from a nursing background she is compassionate in her approach to dealing with individuals and teams, striving to enable them to achieve their full potential. Karen demonstrates passion and commitment to her work, especially when her own ideals and values match that of the organisation in which she works. She is not afraid to challenge when something 'isn't right' however she does this objectively and constructively, suggesting alternative approaches. She understands what ‘good looks like’, strives for excellence, with the drive and resilience to deliver, and is a 'completer-finisher'. I have no hesitation in recommending her.
