Assuming the role of Lead Graduate Advocate when we were transitioning into new program leadership, I was also in charge of new staff on-boarding, helping design and host Summer Boost 2019 and 2020, as well as planning and leading resume and writing workshops during Learning Lab.       As a recipient of the 2015 Lee Iaccoca Internship Scholarship, I was able to travel to Ghana for 6 weeks with 3 peers and two professors in the Africana Studies Department at Lehigh University, including the Director of the Department, to conduct ethnographic research mainly focusing on memorable, historic sites which were key constituents of the Tran-Atlantic Slave Trade (Sites of Memory Project). I also conducted independent research on the structural legacy of Pan-Africanism of Kwame Nkrumah, W.E.B. Du Bois, and Marcus Garvey. Our main on-the-ground research sites included St. Georges Castle (Elmina), Cape Coast Castle, The University of Ghana (Legon Campus), and the W.E.B. Du Bois Center for Pan-Africanist Studies.
