I have been "working" with Karen since 2008. I have seen her working on fundraisers, getting to pass legislation bills, and zoning permits. She is one of the most organized people I know, she sets clear goals and is fast to come up with a plan to get there. I have always told her she should run for office, because she gets things done. One of her gifts is effective communication, she is not afraid to call you out in a way that is constructive. She is quick to see your gifts and help you maximize your potential. I am always excited to work with Karen in whatever she does.

Karen is a "get things done" kind of person. She can easily take charge of a project and efficiently bring it to completion. But unlike some leaders, she remains friendly, encouraging, and is able to delegate tasks to the appropriate people to make the project run more smoothly and quickly. I have worked with her in several capacaties over the last twelve years. I have served on a Board of Directors with her and watched her carefully and professionally handle a very sticky personell situation. Karen has a heart to help - and is willing to raise money and volunteer for a good cause. She lead a group of women through an effective goal-setting and planning retreat. I have seen her advocate for a neighborhood cause as well as a state-wide legal issue with confidence and finesse.
