  Started for Thera as Managing Director of Thera's East Midlands and East Anglia regional subsidiaries, and was promoted to Group Executive Director of Operations in January 2009. Work as part of Thera Trust's executive team. Thera does not have a CEO, instead I and my colleague directors work as a collegiate team to set, agree and implement strategy that delivers the charities vision. As Director of Operations I am responsible for: - Coach and mentor subsidiary Managing Directors/CEO's on behalf of the Trust.   I grew up in this this excellent charity that support children and adults with learning disabilities across the UK. Starting as a teenager as a classroom assistant, I then qualified as a therapist then social worker and steadily moved through and up the organisation over the years. I can honestly say I enjoyed every role, and when I left the organisation, having by then been a director for the organisation for four years, it was with great pride and array of skills and experience. As divisional director I was responsible care and support services to 300+ people, with 600+ staff and turnover of 12m across the UK, and was part of executive director team working under the MD.
