  I worked for 35 years as a commercial lawyer. My career began in London where I was the first woman to be taken on as a lawyer in the commercial property team at McKenna & Co. I specialised in the property elements of nationalisations, company sales and purchases and flotations. After 5 years I was headhunted by the top city law firm Slaughter & May. Subsequently I became a partner at Nabarro Nathanson where I was named by The Lawyer as one of the top 5 public sector lawyers in the UK. My experience as a partner embraced the management and leadership of a team of lawyers, clientcare, marketing and training. I would love to be able to apply this experience to help businessmen and students develop their business English. I am passionate about the importance of building and maintaining good relationships between European businesses and the UK.
