  As a DBA, I am responsible for backup, recovery, installing new servers, managing database replication, configuring database and replication servers, upgrading servers, administering regular tasks (DBCC checks, updating statisics), discovering performance bottlenecks and helping developers with SQL tuning. I am working with over 10 Sybase servers, most of them with a warm-standby server, some of them have minimal downtime (no regular maintenance window), and many different replication connections between them.
