In the short time that I worked directly with Kareem, he was my mentor and leader. I was put under his wing during my first month as a new teacher, and it was a great experience. It was so great, in fact, that after a month, I was given the opportunity to be a lead teacher at another school! I attribute that success to everything he helped me learn and understand while we worked together. He has a proven record of success, both as a teacher and a mentor (I am not the first one to come from under his wing), and I recommend Kareem to any organization that wants a tireless worker who is well-versed in training and leading others.

I recommend Kareem Talhouni without reservation to any program wishing to gain a skilled and reflective team leader and a resilient, passionate educator. I apprenticed with Kareem almost as soon as I joined Success Academy. He was warm, welcoming, and quickly occupied himself with my professional development. He modeled high quality instruction and very quickly gave me the opportunity to practice leading components on my own. Afterwards, he provided me with valuable feedback on pacing and content, which pushed me into a lead teacher position the very next year. One thing that really impressed me was how responsive Mr. Talhouni was to my feedback. When I noticed there were students not making progress with the current curriculum, he developed and quickly implemented new targeted-practice techniques to help struggling scholars catch up to the curriculum. Mr. Talhouni also has a special soft spot in his heart for students who struggle emotionally. Relying solely on his personality, patience, and intuition, Mr. Talhouni was able to encourage the reluctant scholar and motivate the underachiever. Despite the many obstacles inherent to the molding of young minds, I can personally attest to the significant impact Mr. Talhouni has had on his team member’s professional development and his scholar’s academic and social development.
