  Rooted in the Jemez Principles, the BEA Fund emerged from a shared recognition that in order for the environmental movement to be successful, it must strengthen and sustain grassroots organizations so they have the capacity to lead environmental movements. The BEA Fund aims to model inclusive and equitable grantmaking practices, including using a participatory grantmaking process and providing grassroots organizations with flexible, core support grants.
