I have known Kara for just over two years; first meeting her at the Kroc Center of South Bend when I took over as IT Manager for the center. Kara currently works as the administrative assistant for The Salvation Army Officers in charge of the center. Kara also held a position in Human Resources prior to my tenure at the center. In both positions everyone, and I do mean everyone, sees the amazing job she does keeping everything organized and flowing. Kara is one of those people that you can always count on. She is timely, dependable, honest, hard working, and a phenomenal team player. She organizes, and basically manages, so many facets of the centers business it's difficult to believe it's only one person taking care of so much. Her keen eye for processes and the ability to prioritize the workflow is how she manages so much with so little. And probably the most important quality of all is the smile she wears while serving others. As a business owner myself, Kara is exactly the kind of talent I seek to hire and I know quality when I see it. If Kara finds opportunity elsewhere she will be sorely missed; not because of a vacant position needing to be filled but rather because of the example she carries with her everywhere she goes.
