The Japan Exchange and Teaching (JET) Programme, a grass-roots international teaching program by placement of native-English speakers in Japanese public schools. Assistant Language Teacher team teaching K-9 classes with local Japanese teachers. *Implemented an 80-student pen-pal exchange program with a primary school second grade in NY, America. *Extra-curricular tutoring junior high school classes for EIKEN (Japan`s most widely recognized English proficiency test). 75% of students reached their desired advancement levels. *Exemplary team-teaching classroom demonstration of an ELL lesson presented before the entirety of Miyagi Prefecture`s English Language teachers. Japanese school system collaborative research project culminating in a live presentation to hundreds of colleagues. ("Shiroishi City`s 2018 Elementary and Junior High School Open Research Presentation and Class Observation" Professional Development). *Designed citywide junior high school standardized assessments using New Horizons curriculum standards. Assessment results identified at-risk students and struggling schools. (2017-2019) *Extra-curricular English Speech and Recitation Contest tutoring. Half of personally tutored students received Gold in both preliminary contest levels. Bronze received in Miyagi Prefectural English Speech Contest, a first for Shiroishi City. (2018) *Teaching real-life interview and communication skills by facilitating solo speaking tests, a first for Fukuoka Junior High. *Proficient in instructional technology with experience in creating online courses, using interactive whiteboards, citywide file-sharing software, and video editing skills to bring American culture to rural classrooms Show less
