V Swans are the community development arm of the Swan Districts Football Club and undertake community development and community connection under an ‘Active Education’ model. I work through 5 projects including; • New Horizons Program- Reintegration, life skills and personal development program for incarcerated men to build the skills necessary to integrate back into community and contribute positively. • Strength 2 Succeed Naitanui Academy Program- Supporting geographically and financially disadvantaged (rural and isolated) youth to access talent pathways, in partnership with the West Coast Eagles Football Club. • Strength 2 Succeed Female Development Program - Sport and Life skills academy focused on positive participation and contribution to the local community and personal development with sport, school and relationships for female athletes in Perth and in the Pilbara regions. • West Australian Football Commission North West Program - Identifying talented boys and girls aged 14-16, including coaching, mentoring, managing and supporting, indigenous and non-indigenous boys from the Gascoyne, Kimberley and Pilbara areas of North West WA to connect to AFL talent pathway. • Swan Districts Female Football Programs – operations including; administration, logistics, budget, merchandise, membership fees, uniform, managing volunteers, players and facilities, league delegate and captain of the Football Club. V Swans Community Development Officer

• I was the Swan Districts Youth Girls team coach where I engaged local females aged 12-17 to play AFL. 40% of participants where from Indigenous backgrounds with a 97% player retention to 2015 (some of these girls are now my team mates). • Managed and delivered the Active After School Sports program to high-risk youth, across 5 Primary Schools in the Swans District • As part of my role I completed my Level 2 Coaching accreditation attend regular professional development sessions on coaching, game environment and high performance. I continue to engage in professional learning both in my role and my personal time. My roles and responsibilities included: • Plan, manage and delivery of the After-School Sports’ Clinics for young girls and boys • Plan, manage and delivery of 4 x 10-week school term programs, all comprising of different sports and skills for the students • Manage 6 local schools After-School Sports ‘Program • Lesson Plan, risk management plan for each of the Primary Schools • Enroll each student, collect and store all medical and personal information for all students • Regular correspondence with the Aboriginal and Indigenous Schools Officer (AISO) • Document and store incident reports with correspondence with each students’ family, school AISO and Principle • Regular reporting on survey and feedback results from students and parents of the benefit of the programs Show less

I worked at the Melbourne Football Club as a Community Development Officer where my role focused on the Female Football Pathways Initiative, implemented by the football club. In my role, I managed all community engagement events including Community Kid’s Carnivals, player community visits and match day duties. My role was to ensure the continued development, promotion and advancement of female football and players within the community.
