• Took instructions from clients detained under both the civil and forensic sections of the Mental Health Act 1983 and advised them of their rights. This involved travel to hospitals across London. • Assisted clients in all stages of their mental health matters. This included but was not limited to: scrutinising section papers to verify lawful detention, submitting applications and directions to the First-Tier Mental Health Tribunal, submitting Hospital Manager applications, advising clients of their Nearest Relative rights and visiting clients to take instructions on issues ranging from on-going treatment to Tribunal reports compiled in preparation for upcoming hearings.
