      In this role, I manage a caseload of 5/6 patients either in primary treatment and/or in extended treatment (Wk 4-12). I deliver specialist CBT Anger groups to primary male patients, with dual diagnoses.       I was responsible for running all aspects of a project for people recovering from addiction, manage 55 volunteers, three members of staff, a community support team with a specific role, and supporting people in the process of change using facilitative and empowering strategies. I coordinate a team and I am actively involved in volunteering plans for all volunteers, reviewing their progress, and use a strengths based approach to empower them to develop personally. I have also delivered self-coaching and recovery coach training to volunteers and staff on my team, and provide support and supervision to staff and community support team volunteers around coaching others. I also provide support and supervision around matters involving transference and countertransference experienced in their roles. For volunteer development, I create individual and group programmes to empower, engage, support and develop people in their recovery journey. For project development, I liaise with other drug and alcohol services, develop links with academic institutions, researchers and trainee practitioners and ensure that we are in the midst of all developments. I am also responsible for managing external café bookings for events and coordinating volunteers to manage this. Show less

I supervised and mentored people doing international internships and placements in the cafe that had no knowledge of recovery to become competent in their roles.
