Kanav’s recent clients include foreign-based multinational corporations involved in State and Federal U.S. based litigation across the country, including leading manufacturers and foreign based hotels. Kanav has worked on a wide variety of complex litigation involving matters related to product liability and commercial business disputes. Kanav’s product liability cases involve catastrophic property loss and/or personal injury related to various technologies ranging from home/factory equipment to complex scientific technologies such as organic polymers. Examples of Kanav’s commercial business litigation disputes involve breach of contract, trademark, and fraud actions with disputed values as high as $30 million dollars. Kanav also advises clients regarding the various procedural defenses available to foreign clients. As e-discovery becomes a prevalent aspect of complex litigation, Kanav also manages and organizes e-discovery protocols for cases involving a vast quantity of documents for multinational clients. Kanav has also served as general counsel for clients. In this role, Kanav has: reviewed and drafted non disclosure agreements; negotiated commercial real estate leases; drafted and negotiated vendor and supply agreements; draft and review employee and independent contractor agreements; and enforce contractual agreements.While in college, Kanav also worked as a researcher at the University of Pennsylvania working on pharmaceutical targets of cancer. Kanav is admitted to the Illinois bar and has also been admitted pro hac vice in various jurisdictions around the country.
