Reservoir Engineer at Petroleum Engineering Department

I was working as a reservoir engineer at Petroleum Engineering Department of National Iranian South Oil Company for about 9 years.As a reservoir engineer at the Reservoir Operations section, I was responsible for field development issues such as new well positioning, planning for well/reservoir test and sampling, controlling the production/injection rates to achieve the maximum field recovery, data analysis of well rates/well pressure and other indications for monitoring the fluid contacts of reservoir.The most interesting part of my job was being the witness of RFT tests (such as MDT, XPT, RDT tests) and analyse and reporting the results to use them in future field development plans.I have worked for 4 years as the reservoir engineer of KARANJ & PARANJ oil fields and more than 4 years as the reservoir engineer of PAZANAN oil/gas condensate field. Working there was attractive and challenging, because of special characters of carbonated fractured reservoirs that makes the engineer plan different development roadmaps in each case and operate reservoir engineering softwares such as SCHLUMBERGER PETREL, PD Plot, MAPSA PVTpro and KAPPA ECRIN.

Pazanan field has a huge gas condensate reservoir with an oil ring. This full field study was done by NISOC and I was a member of the study group in the basic reservoir engineering phase of study.
