- Responsible for the reconciliation of cash, expenditure and revenue activity between the agency’s PeopleSoft accounting system, 'Workforce, Reporting, Accounting, and Purchasing System' (WRAPS), the Uniform Statewide Accounting System (USAS) and Rehab Works client services system. This activity is performed on a monthly basis. - Performs analysis of accounting transactions using the 'Query' tool in the WRAPS accounting system, Microsoft Excel, and Microsoft Access, with an advanced knowledge of USAS. - Reviews Program Cost Account (PCA) in CAPPS to ensure combo edits are set up correctly. - Assists in the coordination, planning, development, and submission of TWC's Annual Financial Report (AFR), the Annual Report of Non-Financial Data, and related reports. - Perform the monthly reconciliation of Retiree Insurance and State Retiree Insurance Contributions for coordination with the Employee Retirement System (ERS) adjusting entries. Prepares the quarterly Accounting Policy Statement (APS) 018, Binding Encumbrance and Payables Report, for submission to the Texas Comptroller's Office. Coordinates with the Budget Management department to minimize auto-lapses. Performs a quarterly trial balance for certain complex, higher volume funds between the agency's PeopleSoft accounting system - Workforce, Reporting, Accounting and Purchasing System (WRAPS) and the Uniform statewide Accounting System (USAS).
