I and six other students produced a retro sports magazine called Throwback. This involved writing features from events that happened between the 60’s and 90’s, with emphasis on providing the reader with nostalgia. We interviewed Chris Eubank, Nigel Benn, Bobby George and John Newman, to name a few. Throwback also brought back childhood memories with a special feature on football panini stickers and an entire page dedicated to Teletext. I was responsible for writing numerous match reports on University sports, plus covering Sheffield Wednesday and Sheffield United games from time to time. I also reported on Sheffield’s biggest sporting event, Varsity. This involved writing detailed match reports, taking pictures, interviewing team members, as well as remaining impartial.
