As a research assistant, I extracted and prepared DNA for PCR preparation and gel electrophoresis, recorded mouse genotypes from analyzed gel electrophoreses, and assisted head lab technician in tissue recovery and plate culturing. This role was my first introduction to research and sparked my curiosity in scientific discovery while I was an undergraduate student.
