Assistant Curator
-
Sep 2017 - Jan 2018
As a graduate intern at the Florida Gulf Coast University's Archives, Special Collections, and Digital Initiatives, I worked as a co-curator for the Spring 2018 show, "Rape Culture: Zines and Artists' Books." In this project, we explored the shifting narrative around rape culture in America from the 1950s up until today through mediums that typically go unnoticed by scholars. I assisted in the creation of a zine collection at FGCU by forging relationships with local artists. As a co-curator, I gained experience in every aspect of collection creation, exhibit design, and public relations.
