As a First Year Academic Representative at the UCL Division of Biosciences: Neuroscience, Physiology & Pharmacology, I am responsible for working in a team to relay the concerns and voices of students in the department to lecturers and academic staff members. Through attending the Student Staff Consultative Commitees (SSCC) I am able to discuss arising issues and find possible solutions through effective exchange of ideas within the Division of Biosciences in the Life Sciences Faculty. In a team of Academic Representatives, I am also working on creating surveys and gathering student feedback on a regular basis. The role enabled me to be an active first point of contact for students to answer any questions about study materials and modules.
