  At PCDC, I started as an intern, supporting health projects that worked on achieving health equity for the targeted Chinese population of Philadelphia. These projects revolved around public health including the implementation of a first-ever 21-language survey that targeted COVID-19 vaccine barriers for AAPI communities in Pennsylvania. Other health-related projects I supported as an intern include a coloring contest to raise awareness for COVID vaccines for children. Starting full-time as of January 2023, I took over the coordination of vaccine clinics, along with continuing grant-funded health projects that expand from COVID-19 to tackling health issues such as Hepatitis B and mental health that target the Asian American population, particularly the Chinese population of Philadelphia. Through this method we were able to engage with them in a low pressure and familiar setting that makes them comfortable.
