  Worked as a Quality Test Engineer in the Quality Laboratory at SMR Automotive Systems in Marysville, MI under the employment of Nova Search INC, a staffing company. This position was contract to direct hire. - Tested fully assembled automotive side mirrors or specific parts of the full assembly in the lab for domestic and foreign auto manufacturers. - Assisted other test engineers within the lab in programs and test requests. - Created or modified test profiles and rigs to fit customer testing specifications. - Planned and optimized the order in which testing was done based on: lab resources, time constraints, destructive testing, and the number of samples. - Completed test requests according to customer, SAE, ASTM, ISO, and TS specifications using DVP&Rs. - Wrote technical reports documenting test results, test setups, and observations/concerns. - Discussed testing, analyzed results, and assisted in finding, addressing, and proposing solutions to potential problems with cross-functional team of engineers to aid FMEA process.
