I had the pleasure of mentoring Kaitlyn during my time at Florida State University as the Payroll and Staffing Student Director of Aquatics. I watched her grow in her lifeguarding skills and knowledge as well as grow as a leader. Kaitlyn was ambitious during her time with FSU Aquatics as she was eager to receive additional training to work at the lake front property, become a certified swim lesson instruction, and certified lifeguard instructor. Her drive and talents led her to then apply to be the Water Safety Student Director where she managed a group of lifeguards who taught swim lessons. She also took on a supervisory role within this position ensuring lifeguards were working efficiently at the Leach and the lake front property. Kaitlyn is an exemplary employee who continuously worked on bettering herself and achieving her goals. If there was ever an issue , Kaitlyn was quick to address it and come up with the best possible solution.

Kaitlyn was one of my best lifeguards on staff, she was consistently picking up shifts to help out her peers, as well as coming in on short notice multiple times. When she was at work she was a prime example setter, and was always on task as well as helping other guards complete their duties. She grew immensely in this position and I'm excited to see where she goes next.
